Touch Sensor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the power back door ECU receives a jam signal from the touch sensor while the power back door closer is operating, the ECU reverses the back door operation and opens the door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Data List /

(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

INSPECT POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR


(a) Remove the power back door touch sensor DOOR / HATCH: POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR (for LH Side): REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(c) Reinstall the power back door touch sensor.

3.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR - POWER BACK DOOR DRIVE UNIT AND BODY GROUND)


(a) LH Side

(1) Disconnect the V15 sensor connectors.

(2) Disconnect the O30 ECU connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(1) Disconnect the V14 sensor connectors.

(2) Disconnect the O30 ECU connector.
